Choose the location before the room

Check the property's full address and map. A hotel described as being in Chitwan may be a town hotel, a Sauraha lodge or a resort on a different side of the park. Use your planned arrival point and activities to narrow the choice, then compare the room sizes, beds and facilities. Ask where a planned park activity starts and whether the transfer is included.

Make room for nature and local culture

Chitwan National Park is known for wildlife and birdlife, and our itineraries also mention Tharu cultural experiences. A room rate and a safari programme are different products. Ask for a clear breakdown of accommodation, meals, guide services, park fees and activity transfers. If a tour already includes Chitwan accommodation, compare the hotel category and itinerary before booking an additional room. For a family, provide children's ages so the team can check the appropriate room and activity arrangements.

Plan the arrival and onward journey

Tell us whether you are arriving by road or through Bharatpur and where you will travel next. Our From India to Nepal Via Land route connects Chitwan with Kathmandu and Gorakhpur, while the Golden Triangle combines it with Pokhara. Avoid relying on a single drive-time estimate: agree the pickup point, departure time and overnight stop when confirming your itinerary.
