General booking guidance for Nepal trips. Your final proposal or invoice will carry the exact inclusions, exclusions, payment dates, and policies for your confirmed itinerary.
Typical Inclusions
- Accommodation, transfers, guides, permits, meals, and activities only where clearly mentioned in the confirmed proposal.
- Airport assistance, private vehicle support, and sightseeing are provided according to the agreed day-wise itinerary.
- Local government taxes are included when stated in the final quotation.
- A trip coordinator or local contact is shared for confirmed bookings where operational support is included.
Typical Exclusions
- Flights, visa or entry documentation costs, personal expenses, insurance, tips, and meals not mentioned in the confirmed inclusions.
- Monument entry fees, optional activities, porter services, guide upgrades, and hotel upgrades unless included in writing.
- Costs caused by weather, road blocks, flight delays, health issues, natural events, government restrictions, or force majeure.
Booking and Payment
- Bookings are confirmed only after the required advance payment and written confirmation from Sustainable Journeys.
- The balance payment timeline will be shared in the proposal and must be completed before or during travel as agreed.
- Rates can change until services are confirmed, especially for hotels, flights, permits, and seasonal availability.
Cancellation and Changes
- Cancellation charges depend on the confirmed hotels, transport, permits, flight tickets, and vendor policies.
- Date changes, route changes, and group-size changes are subject to availability and may change the final cost.
- Non-refundable services will be identified wherever possible before confirmation.
Travel Conditions
- Nepal mountain travel can be affected by weather, road conditions, flight operations, altitude, and local regulations.
- Travelers are responsible for carrying valid ID, required documents, appropriate clothing, medicines, and travel insurance where advised.
- High-altitude treks require honest fitness disclosure and may need itinerary changes for safety.
Liability
- Sustainable Journeys coordinates confirmed travel services but is not liable for losses caused by force majeure, third-party disruption, or traveler negligence.
- Travelers must follow safety guidance from guides, hotel staff, transport providers, and local authorities.
- Any dispute will be handled according to the jurisdiction and terms stated in the final booking confirmation.
