Where to Stay in Pokhara: Lakeside Hotels and Sightseeing Plans

By Sustainable JourneysSeptember 9, 2026Updated September 9, 2026

Pokhara pairs a lakeside stay with mountain viewpoints, temples and sightseeing.

Pokhara pairs a lakeside stay with mountain viewpoints, temples and sightseeing. Our tours use it both as a relaxed stop after Kathmandu and as a base before travelling onward towards the Annapurna region or Muktinath.

Compare hotels and rooms in Pokhara.

Lakeside or a separate resort stay

Our hotel collection includes Lakeside addresses as well as properties around Sarangkot and outside the busiest lakeside streets. Compare each location with the activities you want to do. If you want to spend evenings around Phewa Lake, check the actual walking route. If you prefer a hillside resort, include transport in the plan. A Pokhara listing does not mean every property is beside the water.

Build your sightseeing around the hotel

The Kathmandu–Pokhara tour includes an early Sarangkot visit, followed by Bindabasini Temple and a wider sightseeing day with Devi's Falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Seti River Gorge and the International Mountain Museum. Boating at Phewa Lake is listed as an optional activity. Discuss the order with your trip manager so an early start, breakfast and transfers fit together.

Add the next part of your journey

Our Kathmandu to Muktinath itinerary returns to Pokhara after travelling through Jomsom and the Mustang area. The From India to Nepal Via Land route also includes time in Pokhara between other overnight stops. These are useful starting points for a longer holiday, but the hotel-only quote and a complete tour package are separate arrangements. Check which transfers and activities are included in your chosen plan.

Room views and arrival arrangements

Read the specific room name and view description instead of assuming every room shares the outlook shown in a hotel photograph. Mountain visibility depends on conditions. For airport pickup, provide the airport name, flight number and arrival date; old listings may refer to the former Pokhara airport. Confirm the current pickup plan and price before travelling. Ask separately about breakfast times if you plan an early excursion.
